Heath Week 2026: Bat Walk

Bat Walk Armed with bat detectors, we will join Sarah from Devon Bat Group to discover the night time wildlife of the heaths.   Know before you go… This event will include a walk on rough, uneven terrain in the dark lasting approximately 2 hours (not pushchair/wheelchair accessible). Warm layers and insect repellent is advisable. Dress for the weather, sturdy footwear recommended for uneven terrain at site. Sorry, no dogs at this event. No prior knowledge required.   This event is organised as part of Heath Week 2026. Heath Week celebrates our heathland heritage with a week of events reflecting the ecology, history and recreational importance of the Pebblebed Heaths National Nature Reserve.
