Heath Week 2024: Archaeological Guided Walk Of Pebblebed Heaths Prehistory
Archaeological Guided Walk Of Pebblebed Heaths Prehistory
Join Cressida Whitton from Devon County Historic Environment Team for a guided walk from the Woodbury Castle across the Bronze Age heathland landscape to look at a surviving Bronze Age Burial mound (Barrow) at Four Firs and then back to Woodbury Castle Hillfort to take in the changes in settlement and society of Iron Age Devon.
This activity will be based at Woodbury Castle but if possible please use the bigger Estuary View Car Park across the road to avoid the small car park at Woodbury Castle becoming congested. Priority is given to those with accessibility issues at Woodbury Castle Car Park. Thank you in advance!
This event is free but booking is essential, to book please click here.
