‘A Heathland Walk’ Join the East Devon Ramblers for leisurely walk starting from Four Firs Car Park, covering Blackhill quarry and Bicton Common. Know before you go… Dress for the weather, sturdy footwear recommended – walking boots and waterproofs are often essential. A drink and a picnic lunch is also advisable for all-day walks. Please arrive at the start with enough time to pay for parking, get boots on, and attend the leader’s pre-walk briefing. Dogs on leads welcome. GRADE: Moderate terrain with a couple of hills. Leisurely pace.   This event is organised as part of Heath Week 2026. Heath Week celebrates our heathland heritage with a week of events reflecting the ecology, history and recreational importance of the Pebblebed Heaths National Nature Reserve.
